We've created a web page, but in order to create a web site, we'll need to bind it to other pages. This is where navigation menus come in handy. A navigation menu is exactly the right type of glue for that; a consistent series of links that you can use to allow your users to navigate easily from one section of your web site to another.
During the course of this tutorial, you will learn about the functionality of navigation menus, how to add menu-items to a dynamic menu, and how to add that menu to a web page.

Getting Started
- Login to your your site's control panel. You should see the dashboard page with a menu bar at the top.
- From the Website tab, select Dynamic Menus.
Creating the Menu
First, select Create a New Dynamic Menu.
Now, name your menu by placing your desired title in the Menu Name field. When you're happy with it, click next.
From here, you can manually enter a link to any place that you'd like by altering the Item Text and Item URL fields.
Alternatively, you are able to select a pre-existing page by clicking the page icon below the Item URL. To display the list of pages, select the small arrow below the Select Web Page box. Click the Web Page that you would like to generate a link for, then press the "Select" button.
As always, don't forget to hit the Save Item button when you're done!
Bear in mind that you can also add an item to the menu from the item itself, if the "Add this _______ to a menu" option is available in the action box.
What the Menu Item Fields Do
Item Text: What the link will be displayed as
Use Image: Opt to use an image instead of a text link
Image: Image that will be used for the link
Roll over Image: Image that will be visible when the mouse pointer is over it
Selected Image: Image that will appear upon click
Repeat Image: Whether you want the image to tile or not
Item URL: The link that the item will point to
Item Width: the width of the link (useful for image links)
Item Height: the height of the link (useful for image links)
Target Frame: The frame in which the link will open (useful for frames, or opening in a new window)
Parent: Used to help determine where your link will be in the hierarchy.
Inserting the Menu
In the same manner as we did in Tutorial 1.2, we will now insert the menu into a webpage using the module manager. First, open the page which you wish to insert the menu into. Now, open the module manager, select Dynamic Menus, and then Dynamic Menu.
From the drop-down box, select the menu that we have just created. Finally, making sure that the cursor is in the desired place, select the Insert button.
Don't forget to Save and Publish your new menu, and you're finished!
