Triangle

Installing Triangle

Installing Triangle is very simple and quick.

  1. First, ensure that you meet the minimum system requirements. For Mac, Dreamweaver CS3 only. For Windows, Dreamweaver v8 or Dreamweaver CS3. Extension Manager is also required, but it comes with Dreamweaver.
  2. If you meet those requirements, obtain the Triangle installation file.
  3. Then, double-click the file. It will install itself automatically.
  4. Once installed, you will be able to access it by going to Window, menu, and then Triangle.

Using Triangle

Once installed, Triangle will appear straight inside Dreamweaver. Let's load a page, insert a module, and then save it.

  1. Log in to Triangle using the same username and password that you do for your admin control panel.
  2. Select the Website that you wish to work on from the drop-down menu
  3. From here, you can navigate to either the Web Pages or Templates, and open either the Working or Live copy of your chosen file.
  4. You can then select the Modules tab to insert modules in much the same way as you would using the Module Manager.

  5. Select your desired module and press Load.
  6. The module options (If applicable) will load in the bottom section of the Modules tab. You can step through the wizard by using the back and forward buttons located to the top of the customization options window.
  7. Once you have completed configuration of the module, the Insert button will become active.

  8. When you're done making your changes, you can either save the page, or save and publish the page using the buttons in the bottom half of either the Templates or Web Pages tab, depending on which you loaded.

FTP

Installing an FTP client

In order to use FTP, you first need to install an FTP client. For the purpose of this tutorial, we'll be using CoreFTP. CoreFTP is a reliable, free program that is available for download from the CoreFTP website.

Logging in to CoreFTP

  1. Upon starting the FTP client, you will be presented with a login screen.
  2. Enter the following Login credentials:
    - Site Name: Your Site's Name
    - Host: yoururl.com
    - Username: yoururl.com/user@yoururl.com
    - Password: The password for the above username. It's the same password you use to login into Admin.
  3. When complete, hit connect. Upon successful authentication, you will be presented with the following screen, which works a lot like a simple windows file manager; just drag and drop your files to the specified folder. You can remove, add, rename, or move files.

File Manager

Using File Manager

The best thing about our system is that if you don't have Dreamweaver or an FTP client, you can still upload your files by using our online File Manager!
